BANTOCK LOVERS BOOK SWAP

During the winter of 1998/1999 I participated in a book swap inspired by the wonderful "Griffin and Sabine" books by Nick Bantock. Our swap hosts, Patti Wright and Deb Gribbin, provided hand made books for each swap participants to work in. The covers were partially decorated and the pages were blank. Each swaper was to decorate a page in the "Bantock style" and provide an accompanying correspondence to create the story. Swappers were also free to add to the cover as they wished.

What follows is the finished book. A true work of art, not only for its beautiful images but for the way in which the participants worked together to create a stunning finished product. It was a great honor to be part of this talented group. -Chia
